ARTSTOR anyone?

Artstor are basically cool ways of storing images online. The cool thing about Artstor is that you can search pictures already loaded in their huge data base. There are around 650,000 pictures already loaded in thgis massive thing. The pictures in Artstor all have metadata on them. This is basically a way of labelling the pictures in terms of a number of feilds, such as time, author, format…along wioth many more. There are even little summaries on each picture. With such a huge data base, Artstor would be ideal for professors who use alot of images in their classes and can be bothered to walk around with them on slides or CDs or on their personal computers. Once you sign up you get 1GB of space to store your pictures….. thats enough for me!

Witth Artstor you can compare more than one picture on a page you can also manipulate these picture by zooming in and rotating it. Its really a good thing…….. You should check it out!

webpages

today we tried to create webpages using dream weaver….we used composer prior to it and i was annoying. With composer you have to insert specific html codes at specfic points in the source page to make stuff like flash animation or shock wave work… and you cant drag pictures to eactly where you want them….. with dream weaver you can…… it even has a menu for importing flash and shock wave which turns out to be very convienent … composer is free though!!! that explains why its so dam hard to use!
